BEHIND THE LENS

 

Photography is my passion.

 

From shooting a snowstorm until four in the morning at the U.S. Capitol, to leaving before dawn to catch the first rays of light over the Tidal Basin, to putting in fourteen-hour days covering events on the White House grounds, I do whatever it takes to capture the shot and create beautifully lit, memorable images.

 

My strength is composition, and, while I'm tech-savvy, I view equipment as a way to bring my artistic vision to life and expand my creative possibilities.

 

My goal is to capture the essence 

of a moment--to record the beauty, fragility, and majesty of life and the world around us in truly memorable ways.

 

I'm also fascinated with light and

strive to produce luminous, striking

images--at once classic and iconic, yet also contemporary, engaging, and powerful.

 

I'm driven to continually challenge myself and realize my creative potential.  And I'm both energized and humbled by the wonderful people I work with and the tremendous oppor- tunities I have to do what I truly love.
